Important information for employees who have NMBU PC with local administrator user

NMBU PCs with local administrator user does not automatically receive Windows security updates and will at some point loose its Windows lisence when you are not on campus (connected to employee network at the office)

To solve the problem, the IT department has set up a new solution, but in order for it to work on your NMBU PC, the PC must get the new settings.

To get the new settings, you as an employee must first log in to a new VPN solution open cmd.exe and then run the gpupdate /force command. Guide for new VPN solution and the gpupdate /force command is located here:

Once completed, your PC will have the correct settings so that your PC will receive important Windows security updates in the future even if you are not working on campus.
